Clever Dexter July "Use A Stencil" Challenge - Challenge #20: Space Greetings

  Hi, peeps! Here I am sharing my Inspiration Post for Clever Dexter's August challenge . This month's theme is "Use A Stencil".  The optional colour palette for August are  White, Navy, Dusty Blue, Fuchsia and, Sand . Our wonderful sponsor for this month is La casetta sull'albero di Chicca. I am using her awesome Chicco Space digital stamp for this month's challenge. For this technique challenge, I decided to do a tone-on-tone stenciling work. I masked off the area I want to blend and I blended the background with distress ink in Brushed Corduroy, Stormy Sky and, Picked Raspberry. Then, I added a circle stencil and went over the background with a second layer of the same colours as above. Love how the finished work turned out! I coloured my focal image with Copics Sketch Markers and added a handwritten sentiment to my card. Clever Dexter August Challenge #20 - Use A Stencil

  Hello, dear crafters! Hope you're all ready for a new challenge this month on Clever Dexter blog . The theme for this month is "Use A Stencil". The optional colour palette for August are White, Navy, Dusty Blue, Fuchsia and, Sand . Our wonderful sponsor for this month is La casetta sull'albero di Chicca . I am using her super adorable Bunny Summer digital stamp for this month's challenge. I decided to create a water background for this card but didn't have the appropriate stencil. So I modified an old mosaic stencil by rounding its inner edges to give it a puddle silhouette. I think it worked! I use distress ink in Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers for the background. My favourite stenciling tool is rather unusual - I find I get the best result with a sponge beauty blender. These were affordable at USD2 for 3 pieces at my local pharmacist.
