Clever Dexter New Challenge - Challenge #18: Favourite Technique

 New challenge up on Clever Dexter blog for the month of June! The theme for this month is Favourite Technique. The optional colour palette for this challenge is yellow, orange, peach, tangerine & gold.

I have been a crafter for more than a decade and this is one of my favourite, go-to when I want to create stunning and bright backgrounds. It's the "Ink Smooshing + Perfect Pearls" technique. For this card I chose to work with our wonderful sponsor OddballArt Co. digital stamp - CCC# 52 Cat Lady. I created the background using the above technique with distress ink in scattered straw, carved pumpkin and ripe persimmon. with gold Perfect Pearls

Made this card using Tiddly Ink's Back To School Party digital stamp. Coloured the image with Copics Sketch Markers. Used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours for the background and added white gouache splatter.   Hey, crafty friends! Hope you guys are getting started on your Christmas card making endeavours. This year I am feeling more inspired and decided to get started early. Here is a card I made using Rachelle Anne Miller's Kangaroo Christmas Surprise digital stamp . I love her unconventional festive designs featuring the wild lives of Australia. Coloured the image using my Copics Sketch Markers and used the Holly patterned paper from Aussie Christmas Paper Pack .
